Kuching's Saturday Night's Sunday Market

i dunno y they call it Sunday market. it opens on both saturday n sunday. :P

yeah went thr ard 7.30pm w my mum n sis today.

owh sori no this is from Boulevard shopping mall. kiooooooottt matching little doggy handbag for ur kioooooottttt little doggy. Ew.

these are the perfect results of ingenuity of those sunday market sellers.

1. if u ask me to construct an umbrella stand, ok maybe i'll take 30 mins.

2. then ask me to sambung the wires of the lights u wana hang inside the top of the umbrella, let me take my kemahiran hidup book 1st 2 refer...

3. then if u ask me 2 on the generator, i'll take another 10 mins asking the nearest person 2 help me n teach me 2 do it at the same time which wil take another 15 mins.

4. then ask me to pasang the lights on to the inside top of the huge umbrella, get me a ladder n some string n... owh shoots shud hang the lights 1st b4 putting on the umbrella shade. back to Step 1.

add in a few clumsy crashes n thr u go.

n these are the perfect african ReD apples!

the sellers were kids (lwr sec sch students) helping their parents out at the stall. made me wonder wad i did whn i was their age. seriously respect them 4 the amt of time they spend helping their parents out in the fruit business. salute!

the MUST BUy-bananas. my dad loves them. :D

i turned n saw a bunch of malay ppl buying fruits from a chinese fruit seller. we hardly see that anymore dun we. a dying harmonic culture. hmm..

Dragon fruits.

the typical sugarcane juice squeezing machine. more respect for the uncle thr. for his age, he surely is a hot energetic lass to the aunties frequenting the Sunday market. hehe.

sis: u taking pictures for WAd?? *her y-do-i-hav-a-nutso-for-a-sister expression*

n just whn we tot we were leaving...

HUge commotion at the shophouses beside the market. i was thinking, whoa.. street fight!! :D how cool is that! i mean, gosh nooo so violent......

then

the BOMBA came w sirens wailing n all!!

*wadda h*ll???! - in jyi's intonation*

how happening can a Saturday's Sunday market get?

huge kepo crowd start gathering ard Bomba truck.
ev1 whipped out their Sony Ericsson, Olympus 12.0 MPixel camera, sum started drawing furiously on their shirts to capture the scene. harmony!

sum fire on the top floor so the firemen had to hack the metal grills. whn it din work, they used the fire thingy w sparks (sori i duno wad its called). cool... :D
the firemen are under the shoplot w the chinese writing on the signboard yeaps. trying 2 open the grill. top floor on fire.

i left after that. after figuring it cant get more happening then a fire. hope no 1 was hurt n evting ended okay. hmm shud check out tmr's news n c if my face gets into the pprs. *cough* i mean, 2 c if any1 was hurt or the amt of loss.

so in the end i bought home this cute innocent child along w his teddy bear n a huge piggy in tow.

VIN!!!! Miss you, girl *HUGS*
When I read about the kids helping their parents sell the fruits, it reminded me of an article about child labor in China, where the kids spent their days making shoes, which will be wore onto the feet of other rich kids at another end of the world - kids of their age, but at a world that is not theirs..

Kids 'helping' parents see fruits, more like... child labour... I bet if those kids had a choice, they'd rather be doing something else in a heart beat, than helping their parents. Sorry to step on your 'harmonious' idea.

I agree with your sister's "why-do-I-have-a-natso-as-my-sister"... only replace the sister with best friend... but then again, if you weren't such a nutso, we wouldn't even be friends :P stay nuts, midget!!
