the best experience of government bureaucracy happened this morning. :) n no, this isnt sarcasm.
i got a call from the HKL (hosp kuala lumpur) dept of urology this morn following up with me on a request i sent to them earlier.
story:
i went to look for the Msian Urological Association office in the HKL Dept of Urology last wed. 1stly, HKL had an information centre for me to ask whr the dept is. the lady gave good directions and phone number of the dept's office.
i got myself to the dept, n the security guard lady outside the office let me in without much questions.
i met the secretary of MUA n got to interview her face to face, all without formal letters of consent or proposal or bla bla bla.
she gave me MUA's email n ask me to email evting i needed wadever request / info i wanted from MUA.
i sent the email that aftern n called in the next day to confirm the sent email. the secretary said yes she has read my email n fwded it to the consultant urologist. she asked me to give her mon / tues to get the consultant's feedback.
today (tues) b4 i even picked up my phone to call, SHE called me to fix appointment to meet the consultant. WAS I BAFFLED??!!! wads more, i wasnt free on the proposed time of appointment, told her i got class, n suggested other time slots. she said, hang on yeah. i'll ask the consultant to fix another time n wil get back to u. in less than 5 mins, she called back with another time slot. *FLABBERGASTED*
Urology Dept of HKL should get like ultra mega A+++ star Quality award.
since when do gov offices let u do anything without formal proposal or wad more, ring u up to set appointment w u???
since now i suppose. :)
